My sister gave me this list on a card, and I keep it in my wallet. I try to read,and live by it everyday. It is hard to folllow sometimes, but I do my best.

It starts like this.

Be good friends who love deeply; learn to play second fiddle.

Help the needy;practice hospitality

Bless your enemies; no cursing under your breath.

Laugh with your friends when the're happy:share tears when they are down. Get along with others;don't be stuck-up.

I broke my Foot!

Last Tuesday night I was folding laundry and had on a pair of clogs I tried to step over my husband’s tool box . Well…… my clog caught on the corner of the toolbox and down I came.

Ummm, as far as the husband leaving his toolbox where it is not suppose to be. Lets not go there.

Anyway I broke my fifth Metatarsal big time! Right in the joint no less!

Now I have to wear this space age cutie for 3 plus weeks! It’s like wearing a high top ski boot with the ski attached! No Joke! Not to mention I look like BIG FOOT coming at ya! It’s all real PURDY! Including the black bruised foot.

So things have been a little slow around in the soap kitchen. I am just getting to where I can stand and make soap. Sorry to have left you hanging,things are slowly coming around!

Well, I guess it can always be worse.

What is Wildcrafting Herbs or Essential oils?

Wildcrafting is when you harvest plants from their natural ,or ”wild” setting,for food or medicine.

This applies to uncultivated plants.

When wildcrafting is done proper respect goes to the plant.

You only harvest branches or flowers.

If it is necessary to take the whole plant,seeds of the plant are replaced.

So with essential oils, plants that have been harvested by wildcrafting only, are used in the pressing,or extraction.

I hope this helps to my special customer who ask!

I am studding to receive my Herbalist certificate.

Did you know records show women were the first herbalist!

We have to thank the Egyptians and Arabs for most of the herbal knowledge.

The more I study the more I get into Herbal Medicine. The knowledge is so huge!

I plan to go from a Herbalist which you become first, to a Master Herbalist which allows you to teach, or treat others!

Hanging on to every word in my text, I always think of ways to make new medicinal soaps with everything I’m learning.

Herbs are very sensitive. You have to know when the right time to harvest is, how to infuse the herbs,and what type of oil to infuse the herbs in. The medicinal value depends on this!

I had no idea what all is involved in true herbal soaps! I thought I did!

I am excited about all the new things to come with this company!

Organic Olive Oil Eye Candy

I receive some of the most beautiful Organic Olive oil.

I have been ordering Olive oil for 11 years,and this hands down is the most gorgeous olive oil I have ever seen.

It is a lovely dark green,and when I opened it,the fragrance of Olives was amazing. The truck that delivered it must have just stopped and picked it up at the port, fresh off the ship from Spain.

I hope the pictures will do it justice!

There seems to be some confusion out there,customers have called and email us,wanting to know if our castile soap is just olive oil. When studding soap making 10 years ago at http://www.outofedensoaps.comwww.folkschool.org castile soap is from Spain,and the Mediterranean area it dates back to the Middle ages. It is 100% olive oil. Just the way we make it! It is wonderful for dry skin. Olive oil is one of the few oils that penetrate the skin,If you have dry sensitive skin,or allergic to detergents,and fragrance this is your soap. We also sell this Organic soap for babies it is that gentle.

Look how lovely this oil is. Check out the difference in color from Organic(the dark green one on the left) and regular olive oil (which is a very light yellow on the right)

This is our castile soap which the picture does not do it justice. It is a very dark green and my whole soap lab smells like OLIVES!

Did I tell you how much I love organic essential oils!

It’s like night and day,when you compare regular essential oils and organic.

I have been working with,patchouli,peppermint,rosemary,grapefruit essential oils for eleven years.

When you smell a Organic oil beside a non organic, its like tomatoes in the grocery store in January and tomatoes out of the garden in July! It will make a believer out of you.

I’m all about chemical free. We are still working on Out of Eden Soaps sister company Organic Planet. I wish I could tell you more but it will ruin the surprise!
