To kick off the month of October,we thought it would be fun to talk about Halloween from the past. In 1994  Siser and I decided we would dress up as two old ladies.Our costumes were found at a charity shop,complete with the smells of mothballs,Wind song perfume,and armpit stains.The glasses came from our Grandmother’s old stash from the fifties.One wig came from a mannequin from our Grandmother’s store window.The other wig came from Uncle Dick.To finish the look off Siser had a Mt.Everest hump on her back to look like a severe case of osteoporosis,and a walker.We went to a Halloween fundraiser event complete with a dance floor,and contest.We were a hit.We broke it down old lady style  dancing with  the walker and cane to house music. Now 15 years later, we are starting to turn into old ladies.Since we are in our early 40s.We are extra gassy,hairy,grouchy,picky,and food sensitive.For example Siser (Eilene) can no longer digest peanut butter,coffee,orange juice,and ice cream without paying for it.Siser (carol) can not eat greasy food,popcorn,raw broccoli,and sausage.Theses were all things we enjoyed at one time.But now we find happiness in foods that years ago we would have never eaten.Siser Eilene now loves some of the nastiest candy,such as those God forsaken orange Circus Peanuts(YUCK),licorice,apple butter, and carrot salad!Siser Carol likes strong ditch water coffee,pound cake,fig Newton's,and butter mints.In another  15 years we will be just like our Grandmothers.Siser Carol will take after Mama Alda.She will be a clean fanatic  with a home smelling like bleach,and Lysol.Living off desserts and coffee,while staying a size 4.Siser Eilene will be like Grandmother Alene,hanging out the K&W eating everything fried,getting her hair did once a week,and flirting with all the men.Until those years get here we are gonna try to preserve what little we have left.Hopefully we will age as well as our Mother.Without  much effort our Mama has stayed young at heart,hip with the times,and beautiful to look at.Part of her staying young secret is taking good care of her skin.Many of our customers ask what products she uses to keep her skin smooth and supple,her response is… “I bathe with Oatmeal Almond Shea Butter soap,I use Jojoba oil on my face,and moisturize my body with Out Of Eden’s lotion bars” (or body Balm).You too can stay young,smooth, and supple ALL for under 25 bucks!So for now there should be NO REASON why you look like an OLD bat,unless it’s  Halloween!
